The Importance of Skin Checks
As a focal point for Dr Rixon, skin checks are considered to be a priority at Main Street Cosmetic & Skin. Without regular screening, you run the risk of allowing cancerous lesions to develop and progress.
Dr Rixon is passionate about reducing unnecessary and preventable death from skin cancer and always informs patients of the importance of consistent skin checks, no matter the time of year.
There is a direct correlation between frequent sun exposure and skin cancer and it’s essential that you receive a skin cancer screening to identify and treat any abnormalities. No matter if you are younger or older, have darker or lighter skin or practice adequate sun protection on a daily basis, a skin check will give you peace of mind.
